 This health education short course on Maharishi Ayurveda will allow you to know the many common mistakes one is doing with respect to diet and habits, as well as the use of some spices, to improve your general well-being, balance your immune system and prevent diseases. Ayurveda has been taking care of the health of approximately 20% of the world’s population during at least 100 years and it is recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).

"Ayur" means life and "Veda" means knowledge. Maharishi Ayurveda is the timeless knowledge of life and perfect health revived by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who has been honoured by the Government of India as one of the most prominent experts in this area and the main responsible for the spread of Ayurveda in the West.  

Maharishi Ayurveda is the comprehensive and modern formulation of the world’s oldest system of natural health care. Ayurveda is estimated to be more than 5000 years old. This course will help you to:

Lecturers

This course is presented by two leading experts in this field:

Lecturer 1:

1. Dr. Robert Keith Wallace, from the USA. Dr. Wallace became world-famous for his pioneering research in mind-body medicine, published in Science, in Scientific American and in the American Journal of Physiology, proving the existence of the fourth major state of consciousness known as Transcendental Consciousness. He was the founding President of Maharishi International University in 1971 in Fairfield, Iowa, USA. And he also opened the first three Ayurvedic clinics in the United States. He's published three books, one of them being the Neurophysiology of Enlightenment, and he continues to lecture all around the world introducing Consciousness Based Health and Education programs. Currently, Dr. Wallace is a trustee of Maharishi University of Management and the Chairman and Professor of the Department of Physiology and Health at Maharishi University of Management.

Lecturer 2:

2. Dr. Karen Pirc from Germany.Dr. Pirc is a medical doctor with a PhD in Psychology. She opened the first Ayurveda clinic in Germany 35 years ago and has been the medical director of the famous Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center in Bad Ems since 1992. This health center is a state recognized clinic specializing in Ayurveda. Dr. Pirc has treated over 25,000 patients at the clinic with Maharishi Ayurveda. Karen has published eight books on Maharishi Ayurveda such as Ayurveda for Mother and Baby, Reversal of Ageing, Treating Asthma with Ayurveda as well as a book on Ayurvedic cooking. She has appeared hundreds of times on German TV and has trained doctors in Maharishi Ayurveda for the past 20 years. She has also received several international awards, including Best Ayurvedic Physician 2006, from the Ismail Khan Memorial Society in India. Karen is also the mother of four beautiful healthy children.
